10.DEEP COLLABORATES WITH PRO-KEDS ON THE VETERAN PACK

10.Deep’s series of exclusives and collaborations in honor of its fifteenth anniversary year continues this month with a year-end double collaboration release with Pro-Keds. Appropriately titled The Veteran Pack as a direct tie-in with 10.Deep’s overall Holiday 2010 collection, the package consists of two differing interpretations of Pro-Keds’ Royal Plus body – one in denim and the other in Woodland camouflage.

Originally introduced in the early 1970’s, The Royal Plus basketball sneaker was
worn by some of the sport’s greatest players, as well as many pioneers of NYC streetwear culture. The new version employed for this collaboration fuses the Royal Plus’ heritage look with current fashion, and features a padded collar, leather lining, metal eyelets, collaborative branding, a molded rubber toe cap, and vulcanized rubber midsoles that carry Pro-Keds’ iconic Power-stripes branding. The Veteran comes in two fabrications that employ fabrics from 10.Deep’s brand palette – specifically a raw indigo denim and a Woodland camouflage-printed canvas.

Pro-Keds has been an icon of American sports, backyards and pickup games since 1949, and has ultimately attained cult status as the first real sneaker with style among the leaders of New York City’s revolutionary cultural change.
